Securing Our Ground… From Planning to Reality

One of the most critical parts of turning an idea into impact is finding the right place to bring it to life. This week marked a major step forward for our project as my team and I conducted site visits to two potential partner schools: SMK Seafield and SMJK Catholic.

What seemed like a straightforward task quickly turned into a real-world lesson in coordination, communication, and adaptability. At SMK Seafield, we were informed that an official approval letter from JPN Selangor would be required before proceeding further. While this is a standard and understandable procedure, it introduced an additional layer of administrative work and uncertainty to our already tight timeline. We were informed by JPN Selangor that the entire process will take at least a month.

On the other hand, our 2nd visit to SMJK Catholic brought a different outcome. After our discussion and introduction of the project, the school was open and supportive of our initiative, agreeing to host our program even without the immediate requirement of the JPN Selangor approval letter.

Decision Made: Choosing SMJK Catholic

After careful consideration and discussion within the team, we decided to confirm SMJK Catholic as our project venue. This decision allows us to move forward efficiently while maintaining the momentum we’ve built over the past few weeks.

This experience reminded me that event planning is not just about having a good idea or a solid module, it is also about navigating real-world constraints and making practical decisions at the right time. Sometimes, progress depends on choosing the path that allows you to deliver impact effectively, even if it means adjusting your initial plans.

A Hectic but Meaningful Day

The day itself was undeniably hectic. Traveling from one location to another, managing time, and ensuring smooth communication with both schools required constant coordination. Yet, despite the exhaustion, it was a fulfilling experience. And the more important part is, we have a great outcome for event venue.

For me, this was a moment where our project started to feel more tangible. We are no longer just drafting proposals or designing modules, we are stepping into the field, engaging with real institutions, and preparing to deliver our vision to actual students.

Appreciation for the Team

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the effort put in by my team members throughout this process. Every discussion, every journey, and every small task contributed to this progress.

This milestone may seem simple, but it represents a collective effort and commitment from everyone involved. It is a reminder that behind every successful program is a team willing to put in the hard work, even on the most hectic days.

Moving Forward

With the venue now confirmed, we are one step closer to executing our Digital Literacy & AI Awareness Module. The next phase will require even more detailed planning, tighter coordination, and stronger execution from all of us.

What started as an idea is steadily becoming a reality, and this journey is only getting more exciting from here.
